About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Apprentice Train Drivers. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a structured training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a fully qualified Train Driver. You will learn all aspects of operating trains safely and efficiently, adhering to strict railway regulations and procedures. This role involves working a rotating shift pattern, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

What You Will Do

• Undergo comprehensive training on train operation and safety procedures.
• Learn to drive various types of rolling stock.
• Develop a deep understanding of railway signaling and trackside operations.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Work collaboratively with other railway staff.

What You Will Need

• A passion for the railway industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good eyesight and hearing.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern.
• Must be able to pass safety-critical medical and drug & alcohol screening.
