The Data Controller will have a key role in the development and implementation of a document and data management system within the Infrastructure Owner Team.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a data and document system by working with the Senior Asset Infrastructure Manager in the Infrastructure Owner Team, Internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Infrastructure Owner team has a fit for purpose data and document system.
- Facilitate internal document governance by acting as the Infrastructure Owner Teams prime ‘records officer' ensuring that data and documents are created, managed, selected and transferred to the internal documents storage system.
- Provide analytical and data support to other directorates by collaborating with multiple teams and delivering insight and evidence to ensure a shared analytical provision within TfW.
- Govern the quality of data, records and documents by checking accuracy and maintaining a clear audit trial to minimise risk to TfW.
- Carry out upkeep and review of asset data and records by constantly reviewing the various systems/data sets/SharePoint to ensure TfW has the most up to data information available to support its decisions.
- Gain awareness of operational railway environment by undertaking training and collaborating with experienced engineers and subject matter experts for personal development and to understand the impact of work being undertaken by TfW.
- Develop a network of contacts by liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to build reciprocal relationships to achieve a consistent and aligned view.
- Managing historic asset documentation by incorporating these into the TfW document management system to ensure TfW has secure and consistent access to the most up-to-date information available to support its decisions.
Who We're Looking For
- Experience of working in a Data and Document administration role or similar.
- Experience of recommending changes or improving procedures relating to online data and document control in an organisation.
- Experience of using data and document control/document storage systems.
- Proficient IT skills with experience of using a range of Office365 and SharePoint.
- Proficient and accurate in data entry and management.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
