Overview

  • Requires HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering, relevant competencies (SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS), and own transport.

About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture comprising Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall, bringing together extensive expertise in railway network design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance, including significant high-speed rail project experience.

We are recruiting an Agent for our Aylesbury teams.

As an Agent, you will support the construction strategy by participating in kick-off meetings and preparing pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction Programmes, and design deliverable schedules.

This position involves liaising with the Project Manager to allocate labour, plant, materials, and temporary works to ensure activities meet required standards, programmes, and budgets. The Agent will also manage the site engineering team, overseeing the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. A key responsibility is coordinating construction operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements and maintaining high standards of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ).

The role includes assisting in the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contributing to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations, and cost control.

About You

  • HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent, working towards institute membership (ICE).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities and construction supervision skills.
  • Must possess own transport for site visits in remote areas.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • Must hold the following competencies:
    • SMSTS or SSSTS
    • CSCS card (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager, or Gold - Supervisor)
